This piece is as interesting as it is beautiful. A Black Forest chalet, or cottage is overrun by pines of the forest. Under a hollowed stump, two little rabbits huddle from the cold.
When the clock strikes the hour or half-hour the door opens, a cuckoo appears and calls along with the sound of a waterfall and other birds of the forest. After the cuckoo calls, music plays from the Swiss-made mechanical music box. This piece is unusual, as it combines the accuracy and ease of a quartz movement, along with the deep and rich sound of a real mechanical music box mechanism. The sound is created by an actual tiny vibrating pieces of steel.
Even the packaging has old-world charm, as only paper is used. The factory packing is all made with renewable materials. This clock makes a great gift for the young and old alike.
